Stories of Promise - Completed Volumes

In the Beginning... God Had a Plan

Before stars shone and oceans found their shores, God spoke—and light burst into the dark. In flowing, child‑friendly verse, this picture‑book retelling moves from creation’s delight to the heartbreak of the Fall, then lifts young readers to the very first gospel promise: a Savior who will crush the serpent and make all things new. Vivid imagery—sun and moon, trees and bunnies—meets clear theological sense, guiding ages 4–8 through Eden’s joy, disobedience, and the bright hope of Bethlehem. Warm, inviting, and rhythmically satisfying for read‑alouds, this opening volume grounds the series in beauty, truth, and grace—perfect for family devotions, church classrooms, and Christian schools. A timeless beginning to the redemptive arc.

Noah and God's Great Rescue

A world gone wrong. A faithful man. An ark rising like a promise against the rain. Told in musical stanzas with cinematic pacing, this retelling turns hammer blows, marching animals “two by two,” and rainbow brilliance into a compelling read‑aloud for ages 4–8. Children feel the storm’s roar and the comfort of God’s covenant, discovering that this isn’t just a boat story—it’s grace. The Christ connection lands clearly: the ark’s single door points to Jesus as “the way,” who keeps us safe forever. Parents will cherish its reassurance; teachers will love its built‑in structure for discussion. Obedience, mercy, and faithfulness shine through colorful scenes and tender lines. A page‑turner that sings—and points families to hope beyond the flood.

Tower of Babel and God's Better Way

Ambition climbs; language falls. In playful, thought‑provoking verse, children watch bricks stack higher and voices shout, “Let’s make a name!”—until babble breaks the prideful plan. Humor kids adore (“Bloop blop blee? Zik zak zoom!”) pairs with clear theology: we can’t reach God by our own works, so God comes down in Jesus. This lively picture book equips ages 4–8 to talk about humility, unity, and grace, moving smoothly from ancient cities to the heart of the gospel—by grace alone, through faith alone. Caregiver notes surface naturally through rhythm and refrain, making conversations easy in homes, churches, and schools. A read‑aloud that giggles, then grows quiet, and leaves families ready to trust God’s better way—Christ himself.

Father Abraham and the Greatest Promise of all

From desert stars to a thorn‑caught ram, this tender, covenant‑rich retelling follows Abraham and Sarah through long waiting, Isaac’s joyful birth, and the mountain where God provides. In lyrical, emotionally resonant verse, children experience faith against the odds, the ache of testing, and the relief of God’s provision.

The Christ connection shines: the substitute ram foreshadows the cross, and God’s promise stretches wide to bless “all nations.” Clear themes of trust and grace are handled with picture‑book warmth for ages 4–8, inviting family conversations and classroom reflection. Strong catechetical bones meet gentle storytelling and inviting art direction.

A memorable exploration of promise fulfilled—beautiful, musical, and gloriously Christ‑centered for shelves at home and church.

The Kings Series

The King picture book series teaches children to see Christ from Genesis to Revelation.

What if children learned to read the Bible the way Jesus taught His disciples—seeing Him woven throughout every page of Scripture? The King Series makes this possible.

This groundbreaking four-book series is the first to teach children ages 5–9 the prophetic framework of Scripture through lyrical narrative poetry. Instead of simple retellings, each book weaves Old Testament prophecy with New Testament fulfillment, showing children that the Bible isn’t a collection of separate stories but a unified narrative centered on Jesus.

What sets The King Series apart is its unique prophetic framework; sophisticated narrative poetry that families won’t tire of after a hundred readings; age-appropriate theological depth; and heirloom quality that grows with children from ages 4 to 10+. These aren’t books children outgrow—they’re books that deepen with each reading.

The King Series fills a critical gap in Christian children’s literature: resources that teach biblical literacy, not just biblical stories. Through beauty, truth, and prophetic insight, these books equip the next generation to read Scripture with Christ at the center.

“Beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.” — Luke 24:27

That’s what these books do—for children, in poetry they’ll never forget.

The Shepherd King

Long before the first Christmas, God’s people lived in darkness and oppression, longing for deliverance. Yet God had not forgotten them. Through the prophets Isaiah and Micah, He spoke promises that echoed through generations: a virgin would conceive, a child would be born, and from tiny Bethlehem a Shepherd-King would come to save His people.

For seven hundred years, they waited, hoped, and watched.

Then, in God’s perfect timing, the angel Gabriel appeared to a young virgin named Mary in Nazareth, announcing that she would bear God’s Son—the fulfillment of every promise. As Mary surrendered to God’s will, a star blazed in distant skies, calling wise men to begin a long journey with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

When Caesar’s decree sent Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem, they found no room in the inn. In a humble stable, surrounded by animals, Mary gave birth to Jesus—the King of Heaven born in the lowliest place. That same night, angels appeared to shepherds in nearby fields, proclaiming the Savior’s birth in a burst of heaven’s glory. The shepherds hurried to worship the newborn King.

Later, the wise men arrived, following the star to the house where Jesus lived. They bowed in worship and presented their treasures, but God warned them not to return to the jealous King Herod. An angel also warned Joseph, and under the cover of darkness, the family escaped to Egypt.

Every prophecy came true. The Shepherd-King came to rescue His wandering sheep—living, dying, and rising again to become our Life, our Truth, and our only Way. The long wait was over, the promise was kept.
